FabricWorks

FabricWorks is the training, production and enterprise arm of Stitches in Time.

Our innovative approach to community arts gives the opportunity to local women, from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels, to take part in textile design and production courses. The classes are held in the Stitches in Time workshop, and trainees learn design skills, machining, pattern cutting, pattern design and tailoring. They can progress to being an active part of our production team, working to high standards on a range of projects and commissions.

Past projects have included wall hangings and costumes for community, commercial and private commissions. We offer innovative approaches to techniques in hand crafted, embroidered, print, knit and digital textiles and construction for commissions.

All profits from commissions go back into the charity to enable the training programme to continue.

FabricWorks is run by Stitches in Time with a dedicated team in partnership with a pool of diverse artists.
